Star NYC Prediction Markets Roundtable
The September 2nd Roundtable brought together senior compliance leaders from 12 major banks, asset managers and alternative-investment firms for an invitation-only roundtable hosted by Evercore. Kalshi joined to provide the platform perspective. The conversation was unusually candid. Participants shared emerging policies, regulatory feedback and the control gaps they are still working through. Nearly everyone contributed - and hardly a phone came out for the entire hour. Considerable common ground emerged. Blanket bans may buy time, but most firms expect more granular controls that distinguish between financial and lower-risk markets, higher- and lower-risk employees, and preventive and detective measures. The discussion also extended beyond personal trading to confidential information, information barriers, outside business activities, pre-clearance, certifications and surveillance. Another institution has already offered to host the next session. If your firm is confronting these questions, keep an eye out for the follow up conversation.

Star Toronto Roundtable: Shadow Trading Controls Discussion
The Toronto Executive Roundtable discussion was incredibly insightful! There was a lively discussion around Shadow Trading and considering managing emerging insider trading risks outside the traditional securities markets like digital assets and even Prediction Markets. I truly appreciated the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from so many diverse perspectives.
