ComplianceCatalyst ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what limited information we collect, why, and what choices you have. This is a template for an independent publication and is not legal advice.
Information we collect
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we collect the email address you provide so we can send new pieces (~2x/month). Email delivery is handled by a third-party provider.
- Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email, and message so we can reply.
- Member accounts. If you create a free account to access premium content, we collect your email (and name, if provided) via our authentication provider (Google Firebase) to sign you in. Login is optional — only needed for premium content.
- Premium reading activity. For signed-in members, we record which premium articles you open and how long you spend, tied to your account. This helps us understand what members find valuable. It applies only to logged-in members and only to premium content.
- Comments. If you post a comment, we store your comment text and, if you're not signed in, any name/email you choose to provide so we can follow up. Comments are visible to signed-in members.
- Aggregate site analytics. For all visitors we collect anonymous, aggregate usage (page views, time, referrers, country) via a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics provider. Anonymous visitors are never individually identified.
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies. Essential cookies keep the site functioning; any analytics cookies are used only in aggregate. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
How we use your information
We use your email solely to send the newsletter you asked for, and your contact details solely to respond to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing us through the contact page.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
